We are trying to find locations for the upcoming production of TAKING WOODSTOCK by Ang Lee. If you have any suggestions, photos or ideas about where we can find these locations, please let us know so we can bring this production to the Hudson Valley. Here are links to ideal images they are trying to match.
Road to Woodstock Concert (motel would be on left side)

Motel (motel images represent the eclectic styes of architecture that made up the compound of the motel.)

Town (a collection of probably no more than 12 buildings, either adjacent to, or just down the road from the motel.)
All three elements (road, motel, town with 12 buidlings+/-) in perfect relation to one another, would be the bulls-eye. Email wff@mac.com with photos

Why not shoot in Bethel, in Sullivan County, where the original Woodstock concert took place.
Cause the building were all destroyed two years ago so similar (or as close as possible) must be found
I'd check out the Monticello area, there's some great old resort buildings, also Callicoon. The Town is great!
I'll keep an eye out and maybe make a suggestion on a location. Any big field would do, I would think???
This is such a cool project, I wish everyone working on this all the best.

What about the old "Psyhco" set Laurent? It kind-of looks like those buildings in the pictures.
Just kidding,
Jim
PS: A lot of Melanie fans live in NY so I hope my link to you will bring some real ideas to you.
Hi Lurent,
Any news you can share? there doesn't seem to be much gong on with "Taking Woodstock" lately. I mean, since the announcement that the movie was being made, nothing much has been posted on line. My readers at LetHerIn dot org are interested to know more of what is happening.
Thanks,
Jim Baldwin
